He graduated as Engineer at Texas Tech University; finished the Advanced Program in Project Management in Harvard, and a Pos Graduate Course in Enterprise Management as a scholar sponsored by the Getulio Vargas Foundation. He has written 12 books and also publications in Brazil, United States, Japan and Corea, among which are: How to be a Professional in Project Management, Winning in Business with Enterpriwse Management (Transforming Strategies through Project Management); Creating the Project Office -A Manager's Guide to Leading Organizational Change e teal® - A Revolution in Project Management Training.
He received the"Distinguished Contribution Award Fellow" from the PMI. Project Management Institute in the United States that is an accreditation as PMP - Professional in Project Management. He was member of the Board for Regulations (PMBOK) and Research of PMI, Director of the PMI Education Foundation and Founder and Advisor for the PMI Chapter in Rio and PMI Chapter in São Paulo.
